Digital Photography: From Taking the Photo through Post-Processing
“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.” ― Marc Riboud
Taking the photos is just the first step, a fun one, yes, but post processing is where the magic happens. A just-ok image can be transformed into something eye-popping in just a few minutes. How? My favorite way is with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. While I’ve long been a Photoshop user — and I love it — for photographers Lightroom has fast become the go-to software for developing images. I love it’s easy workflow and it’s much less intimidating for the average person to learn.
I’ve developed an interest in sharing my knowledge of Lightroom with others so I started this site to help educate people. While it’s still in its infancy, on this site I want to share my love for everything photography, from taking the shot to processing images in Lightroom and Photoshop, and even sharing fun things you can do with your photos.
In addition to the growing collection of Lightroom training videos I’ve been creating, I’ve just released my first online video course on family portrait photography for beginners and I’m working on another one on portrait retouching that I think you’re going to love. I’ll be posting updates about these courses in my newsletter.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about Lightroom, I’d love to hear from you.
