Adobe Lightroom: Organizing with Folders

To ensure that your catalog database is up to date, it’s important that you use Lightroom’s Folders panel to organize, move and rename folders and images. By moving and renaming folders and images from within Lightroom you will avoid problems with missing photos (indicated by question marks on the thumbnail cell) or disappearing folders. Lightroom keeps the same file structure you have on your hard drive so you don’t need to go into Explorer or Finder. You’ll also learn the difference between folders vs collections for managing your images. Just a word of warning, if you have thousands of images moving folders can be slow.
